Agham kot, Badin district, Sindh

Agham kot is an ancient forgotten city. It is an archeological site. There are shrine, tombs of sufi saints, temple and a fort. Mostly are in poor condition.

Agham kot is located in Badin district of Sindh. The ruins indicates once this city was center of trading hub and Islamic education. 




The period of  pre-Muslim Agham Kot was considered as a rich city that lied on the bank of the Indus river. when Arabs conquer Sindh, they developed this city into very important trading hub. The muslins built Mosques and spread Muslim religious culture in the city and it's surrounding. 







This city got attention after the discovery of shrine of  Shia's seventh Imam, HazratImam moosa Kazim's Daughter. She is buried here. Her actual name was Khadijah but famous as Bibi maham. Native people called her Madinay waly Bibi which means 'the lady of Madina.'  She migrated from Madina due to tyrant ruler and settled here. The shrine is visited by different researchers and scholars . Huge numbers of devotees also visit shrine. According to the persian inscription on the headstone, the grave dates back to 170 A.H which makes it the oldest tomb in the region


The most unbelievable fact of this site is that, the human bones are widely spread on 200 acres. Local People found skeletons and skulls. They buried them but after some time the bones come out of graves. If someone visit here will found numerous human bones. It is believed that these people were killed the Thunder Light and were cursed. There are burned stones that indicate about the thunder light fallen in this area. 






Agham kot is a city of several eras. The ruins shows about different cultures , religions and rulers. Those who love history، archeology and unusual places should visit this isolated and abandoned city.

Ganish (Hunza)

 Ganish is located in Hunza district (Gilgit Baltistan) of Pakistan. Ganish is famous world over for the tittle the oldest and first settlement on the of ancient silk route in Hunza valley.
